Work involved & Major Accomplishments:

Successfully developed, implemented and provided maintenance support on the following systems:

1)   Citicorp Asia Security System (CASS)
The system was built on PRIME and was for the management of domestic & overseas securities, covering JGB, UST Bonds, Convertible Bonds, Warrants, Straight Bonds and others.
2) Consolidated Modular Banking System (COSMOS)
This was the system built on PRIME, for the accounting purpose of the corporation. It supported the General Ledger Preparation & Management Information Generation.
3) Vickers Accounting module
This was the system built on PRIME, for the Interface of CASS and COSMOS.  The system supported Generation of Financial Reports of Securities and Bonds for the Ministry of Finance (MOF) & Bank of Japan (BOJ).
The system also supported the Generation of Client Ledger & Statement, together with some other ad-hoc reports.
4) Trade, Analysis and Processing System (TAPS)
This was an overseas assignment at Hong Kong Regional Office.  The system was built on IBM mainframe for the management of domestic & overseas securities, covering JGB, UST, Bonds, and others.  The system was canceled before implementation, due to change of corporate technology direction.
5) Citicorp Investment Products Modular System (CIPMS), Phase I
This was an overseas assignment at Hong Kong Region office. This system was the replacement of TAPS. The system was built on VAX for the management of domestic & overseas securities,

Successfully developed, implemented and provided maintenance support on the following systems and projects:

1)   Citicorp Investment Products Modular System (CIPMS) , Phase I
The system was built on VAX and is for the management of domestic & overseas securities. The first phase covered JGB Bonds & Futures.
The system supported the accounting interfaces with COSMOS on IBM Mainframe, Position Control, Risk Management, and other reporting for internal uses.
2) As Project Manager, managing a team of 15 people, successfully developed and implemented Ginken System in VAX
The system supported the Generation of Financial Reports of Securities and Bonds for the Ministory of Finance (MOF) & Bank of Japan (BOJ).
3) Maintenance & Enhancement of Ginken Systems
4) Off-site Contingency Plan
As a key member of the Contingency Planning Team for nine months, successfully completed "The Risk Analysis Study" & "The Off-site Contingency Plan" for the Citicorp Global Finance
5) Manger of PC-Support Division in Global Finance BUsiness
As the division head of THe PC-Supporting Team of 5 people, to provide professional technical support on all PC hardware and software to the 800 PC installed in the Global Finance Business Division in Japan.

Mar 91 - May 93 Project Manager of Information Systems Department

Work involved & Major accomplishments:

1)   As the Project Manager of the development team for the successfully development and implementation of the "Sales & Distribution System" for the Inkjet-Printer Distribution Business of the Industrial Department.
The system supported the Sales/ Purchase Management, Booking/ Order Management, AR/AP Management, Inventory control, Pre-sales Quotation/Inquiry Module, After-sales Maintenance Services Module, MIS reports fbr the Division, etc.
2) Managing the development team and operator for the System Support and Maintenance of the system for smooth operation.
3) As the ProjectManager of the Systems Planning for the Industrial Accounting System
The planning project was completed on schedule and within budget at the end of Februaly 1993 with the delively of the "Systems Plannir Report of lndustrial Atounting System".
4) As the Project Mabnager of the Systems Planning for the roll-out of the Industrial Distribution System to another three business divisions in Industrial Department: BREWERY, PACKAGING & PROCESS ENGINNERING.
The planning project was completed on chedule and within budget at the end of May 1993 with the delivery of the "Systems Planning Report of Industrial Disrtribution System for BREWERY, PACKAGING & PROCESS ENGINEERING Divisions".

Central Support Unit (CSU)

Work involved:

The function was to run the Central Support Unit (CSU) independently to provide services in Documentation, Operations, Logistics, IT and Accounting to 19 Shipping Linners visited Japan at that time.  The CSU is composed of 4 departments: Documentation , Logistics & Operations, Systems and Accounting for all the branches in Japan.
Number of employee under my management was 140 at maximum.

The Key job purpose was to manage efficiently the resources of the USC as a profit center, whilst ensuring high levels of service excellence are maintained, and optimum economies of scale are achieved.
The principal accountabilities which are taken together make up the overall contribution of the job are listed as follows.

1)    To facilitate system projects for the computerization of CSU
2) To quantify how the CSU can meet principals' varying requirements and ensure our services are priced to generate an adequate returen
3) To set perfomance targets to measure productivity; to analyze regularly performance, and identity to remedy slippage.
4) To seek and evaluate potential third party business.
5) To analyze current work flows and practices to identity ways in which to further rationalize, centralize and automate CSU operations to eliminate redundancy and gain maximum economies of scale.
6) To prepare annuaal budget for all CSU operating divisions, and ensure costs are controlled within budget.
7) To negotiate rates with local subcontractors/vendors which reflect the CSU's consolidated buying power.
8) To identify training requirements of CSU work force, and implement programs accordingly.
9) To liaise with ISS CSU Managers in the Asia Pacific Region to enable transfer ofbest practice and develop further regional applications.

Major Accomplishments:

As the General Manager of Inchcape Shipping Services, effectively managed the day to day business handling (Documentation, Operation & Logistics, Accounting, and Information Systems); initiated and managed indirectly the System Projects for the Shipping business
