Work involved:
The function was to run the Central Support Unit (CSU) independently
to provide services in Documentation, Operations, Logistics, IT
and Accounting to 19 Shipping Linners visited Japan at that time.
The CSU is composed of 4 departments: Documentation , Logistics
& Operations, Systems and Accounting for all the branches in
Japan.
Number of employee under my management was 140 at maximum.
The Key job purpose was to manage efficiently the resources of
the USC as a profit center, whilst ensuring high levels of service
excellence are maintained, and optimum economies of scale are achieved.
The principal accountabilities which are taken together make up
the overall contribution of the job are listed as follows.

of CSU |

To quantify how the CSU can meet principals' varying
requirements and ensure our services are priced to generate
an adequate returen |

To set perfomance targets to measure productivity;

To analyze current work flows and practices to
identity ways in which to further rationalize, centralize and

As the General Manager of Inchcape Shipping Services, effectively
